The Legacy Pride Board Game
The first initiative funded by the proceeds from sales of the Legacy Pride Plush Soft Toys is the design, development and production of a unique and educational Legacy Pride board game and map.

The Legacy Pride map has been specially designed by Trainiac and is based on the concept of crime and education targeting school children aged 8 to 18. The map has been designed as an A1+ size in order to emphasize its impact on learners.

The board game is based on various scenarios that are especially relevant to crime and violence in a way that educates learners about the consequences and impact of crime.

Scenarios are strategically placed on the map and learners/players have to identify with the scenarios, explain them and report back as to why they are morally incorrect.



Sponsorship Opportunities
Because of the “real” environmental nature of the map there are certain buildings, products and situations that lend themselves to “product placement” for potential corporate sponsors of the program.

There are various corporate sponsorship opportunities available in the form of branded structures featured on the map. These structures include:

Garage
Restaurant
Cell phone mast
Factory-depot
Shop
Car dealership
Car rental lot
Sports field

Helicopter
Airplane/airport
Bank
Satellite dish
Cinemas
Gym
Universities
Ambulance

There will also be some generic buildings that can be branded by way of signboards for the purpose of advertising. We are also open to discussion to try and place your brand in any other way that may be possible.

With this in mind, specific corporates who decide to participate will be featured on the map and therefore will obtain recognition in terms of supporting the Legacy Pride charity initiative. The large distribution (25 000 maps will initially be distributed to schools throughout South Africa) of this initiative will create massive exposure to schools, their learners and their families.

Corporate partners will also be included in the various scenarios chosen for the map in which the children ultimately learn from. Further, corporate companies will become known as Legacy Pride partners, this will be placed on the partners’ page on the Legacy Pride website.

Since the game only uses pictures, language as well as cultural barriers and limitations are avoided. Proceeds from corporate partners’ funds donated will NOT be used for the design or production of the maps. These costs have already been covered by the proceeds raised thus far. The funds will rather be used to purchase new stock, which in turn, will generate additional and greater revenue as a result of their sales.

Celebrity Involvement
Legacy pride is extending an invitation to all local celebrities to join the initiative by pledging their support to the program and what we are trying to achieve. The idea is that celebrities who confirm their support will be listed on the Legacy Pride website under the “Celebrity Support” link.

This support will encourage other members of the community to follow the example of their role models and join the fight against crime by becoming part of the legacy pride initiative.
